Safe, Ego-Free, Reality-Based Knife Defense Training. Our team of experienced martial instructors will be providing a defensive knife course that will focus on the most efficient, dynamic and practical ways to survive an unprovoked knife attack while exploring how to offensively handle a knife in a critical self-defense situation. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS COURSE? 1. THE REALITY OF KNIFE ATTACKS We will break down real cases and examples of violent knife attacks while exploring the most intelligent and efficient ways to survive these unprovoked knife assaults. Prior to the course we will send you several videos and CCTV footage of actual knife attacks to study and analyze. During the course we will recreate and simulate some of those scenarios and provide no nonsense conterforce solutions. 2. CRITICAL ANATOMY You will learn the vital anatomical areas of the human body that must be protected (on your body), or targeted (on an aggressor's body) to survive and prevail in an edged weapon altercation. We will go much deeper than just telling you what these areas are. We will discuss critical topics such as, bleed out times, body alarm response, effects of adrenaline and wound management strategies. 3. KNIFE MODELS & DESIGNS In this section we will discuss the signficant impact of a knife's design, model and deployment method. Additionally, you will learn the difference between staging and concealing a knife. We will explore how a knife can be carried and concealed on the human body and how that effects our ability to defend or disarm it. The type of knife and how it's carried on the body are critical concepts that must be explored in detail. 4. DEFENSIVE & OFFENSIVE TACTICS To defend a knife, one must certainly know how to weild a knife. We will discuss and train dynamic footwork, efficient body and movement mechanics, the variations of knife gripping and attacking, and drills to reinforce these principles. This is a hands-on and intense block of instruction. To closely replicate the reality of a violent knife assualt, we will have to create simulated stress, attack with real intention and develop training situations that involve multiple attackers and role players who will test your will. This is not a lecture-based class. This is a hands-on, live action, no BS defensive knife course.
