LCL Event: Working Practices Between Guardians and Solicitors for Children
You are cordially invited to join us for a panel presentation on 23 MAY 2016 commencing at 6:30pm (registration at 6:00pm) in respect of: BEST PRACTICES: WORKING PRACTICES BETWEEN GUARDIANS & SOLICITORS FOR CHILDREN The following people are scheduled to participate on the panel:  Peter Daniel: Peter is currently employed as a Children's Guardian at CAFCASS. He has been a Guardian for over 16 years.  He previously worked in Local Authority Services for over 20 years. He has also worked for the NSPCC and Ofsted Inspectorate. Maud Davis: Maud is a partner at TV Edwards LLP. She is accredited by the Law Society in Children Law, and has higher rights of audience (civil). She is a committee member of the  Association of Lawyers for Children; co-chairs the Interdisciplinary Alliance for Children;  and regularly attends the London Local Family Justice Board. She is also a member of Professor Karen Broadhurst's advisory group on recurrent care proceedings, and Dr Julia Brophy's advisory group the anonymisation of judgments for publication. Ann Haigh: Ann has been a Children's Guardian for over 23 years.  She is the Chair for NAGALRO. She is also a trainer consultant and Independent Social Worker. Jane Millarini: Jane is currently employed as a Children's Guardian at CAFCASS.  She has been a guardian for over 12 years.  Jane previously worked for Local Authorities as a social worker.  She also worked at Friern Barnet Hospital as a psychiatric social worker, Tavistock Clinic as a Clinical Practice Manager, and NSPCC as a telephone counsellor. Sheila Pankhania Collins: Sheila has been a Children's Guardian for over 16 years and she is currently an enhanced practitioner for CAFCASS.  She provides support and mentoring to newer guardians.  Sheila was formerly a social worker and worked in various community projects. Gordon Reed: Gordon was admitted as a solicitor in 1977.  He was appointed to the Law Society's Children Panel when it was first created and remained a member since then.  Gordon is a consultant at Sternberg Reed Solicitors.  FAQs  Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
