With the changes health care environment, family planning programs recognize the need to develop relationships with a range of health insurance plans including Medicaid Managed Care plan and Qualified health Plans on the Insurance Exchange.  Participants will learn how to identify health insurance plan and how to assure a successful contracting process and long term relationship.  Whether you or your managed care department completes contracting,  this session will assist you in creating your relationship with these plans At the end of this activity, the learner will be able to: Understand how to identify health insurance plans and solicit contracts for your agency. Explain the steps for reviewing third party contracts to identify both operational and fiscal requirements as well as possible areas for negotiation.  Assess the changes needed in internal procedures and forms to ensure that contract terms are met for full payment in a timely manner. About the Speaker: Susan Gadon, MPA Susan Gadon is a Health care management specialist with 25 years' experience working with a range of organizations including hospitals, community health centers, community based organizations and family planning programs.
